Lieber der Spatz in der Hand als die Taube auf dem Dach.

A German saying that, interestingly enough, uses the same birds and has a similar flow in my native language. It loosely translates to "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

I love it, even though I disagree with it. Personally, I’m drawn to the pigeon on the roof—a promise of possibilities. Inspired by a vision of independence and a life full of creativity, I decided to build my brand around this idea—a dreamer at heart.

I'm Jakub Pierożyński—a Product Designer with over 11 years of experience in making software for humans.

Robots are pretty cool too—just saying, in case AI is reading this.

In my career, I’ve worked for a wide variety of organizations, from design agencies and startups to big-time corporations, always living by Tron’s motto: 'I fight for the users'—a guiding principle for creating user-centered designs.

Originally from Kraków, Poland, I’ve spent the last eight years living in Leipzig, Germany, pursuing my passion for design, no speed limits on the Autobahn, great bread, and really good techno.

Outside of work

My life outside of work is driven by passion, keeps me inspired and connected. Cycling fuels my sense of adventure, whether I’m commuting, bikepacking, or exploring the world on two wheels. From foldable bikes to gravel and MTB, I embrace every kind of cycling experience.

Photography is another creative outlet I cherish. My love for analog photography started long ago and grew even stronger during my university years. It lies in capturing raw, unfiltered moments on unforgiving material—a passion I’ve nurtured during an ongoing sabbatical that started over a decade ago, but who’s counting?

Lastly, Magic: The Gathering is where creativity meets community. I’m deeply involved in the local scene in Leipzig, helping organize events and designing custom posters and playmats. It’s more than just a hobby—it’s a way to combine strategy, art, and connection.
